About The Position

This is a partnership track position for a Physician in Cardiology within the Affiliate PriMed Group, a private practice affiliated with Yale New Haven Health System. The role involves providing advanced clinical care in cardiology, focusing on improving patient outcomes, satisfaction, and safety. The practice is established, physician-owned, and located in Fairfield County, with in-house nuclear and ECHO services in two locations. It boasts a busy CHF clinic and performs TAVR and left atrial appendage occlusion procedures. There are opportunities for teaching within the hospital's internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship programs, as well as participation in an active clinical research program. The organization emphasizes physician quality of life and a collegial work environment, with a competitive salary and benefits package. After two years, associates transition to a 4-day workweek, and all previous associates have advanced to full partner status.

Requirements

  • Board certified or eligible in cardiovascular disease, echo, and nuclear cardiology.
  • Well trained in echocardiography, including stress echo.
  • Well trained in nuclear cardiology.
  • Proficient in performing transesophageal echocardiograms.
  • Exceptional inter-personal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced clinical care in cardiology.
  • Participate in TAVR and left atrial appendage occlusion procedures.
  • Offer imaging support for procedures.
  • Participate in the supporting imaging for TAVR and left atrial appendage occlusion.
  • Engage in teaching opportunities within the hospital's residency and fellowship programs.
  • Participate in the practice's active clinical research program.
  • Perform transesophageal echocardiograms.
  • Contribute to the delivery of care through teamwork, collaboration, innovation, and persistence for excellence.
