The OHH Physician/ Cardiologist will be certified to diagnose, manage and treat disorders of the circulatory or cardiovascular system such as heart, veins and arteries. Admit, evaluate, diagnose and provide treatment or consultative services to patients of all ages within scope of privileges approved by Hospital. Physician is needed in Ardmore, Oklahoma to provide direct patient care in the cardiovascular medical practice in the hospital setting. Requirements

  • M.D. or equivalent first professional degree in Medicine.
  • Completed a Residency in Internal Medicine.
  • Completed a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease.
  • Completed a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
  • Must have or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Oklahoma.
  • Must have legal authority to work in the U.S.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine.
  • Board certification in Cardiovascular Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, manage and treat disorders of the circulatory or cardiovascular system such as heart, veins and arteries.
  • Admit, evaluate, diagnose and provide treatment or consultative services to patients of all ages within scope of privileges approved by Hospital.
  • Provide direct patient care in the cardiovascular medical practice in the hospital setting.
  • Provide direct patient care to patients in both the stable and acute care settings.
  • Manipulate various types of electronic and clinical equipment, calibrate and troubleshoot equipment, IV infusions, and computer equipment in the Hospital.
  • Operate the specialty equipment in the department and to perform tasks at a “user” level.
  • Communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing, and effectively share information in a timely manner.
  • Effectively interact and communicate with all staff, physicians, patients and families, based on the patient’s willingness and ability to learn.
  • Be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues and be able to communicate in a clear and understandable manner appropriate to the age/developmental stage of the patient or visitor.
