About The Position

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute seek a Cardiac Electrophysiologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligible for state medical license.
  • Completed internal medicine residency program.
  • Completed cardiovascular disease fellowship program.
  • Completed cardiac electrophysiology fellowship.
  • Board certified / eligible in cardiac electrophysiology.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in the area of electrophysiology.
  • Provide excellent patient care.
  • Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
