Physician - Cardiac Anesthesiology - Up to $150K Sign On Bonus! - Mercy General Hospital
About The Position
Vituity is seeking Board Eligible/Certified Cardiac Anesthesiologists to join their physician-owned partnership. This role offers practice site autonomy supported by a national network, with opportunities for full-time, part-time, and per diem employment. Providers may also support affiliated surgery centers. The position is located at Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento, California, a 342-bed not-for-profit hospital part of Dignity Health. The Anesthesia Care Team model operates with medical direction, featuring a Monday through Friday schedule from 0700-1700 with overtime opportunities. There is no call, no weekends, and no holidays. The practice includes a busy outpatient center with approximately 500 cases per month across 6 ORs and 1 GI room, handling a variety of cases including orthopedics, complex ENT, podiatry, otolaryngology, reconstructive plastics, gynecology, cataracts and retina, general surgery, and interventional GI procedures. The surgery center's proximity to the main hospital allows for the management of ASA 3 & 4 patients, with the ability to admit overnight as needed, and occasional healthy pediatric patients for outpatient procedures. Emergency Medicine services are also provided by Vituity partners, facilitating inter-departmental communication and support.
Requirements
- Board Eligible/Certified Cardiac Anesthesiologists.
- Current CA state license is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care to cardiac patients.
- Work within an Anesthesia Care Team model with medical direction.
- Manage a variety of surgical cases including orthopedics, complex ENT, podiatry, otolaryngology, reconstructive plastics, gynecology, cataracts and retina, general surgery, and interventional GI procedures.
- Care for ASA 3 & 4 patients.
- Admit patients overnight as needed.
- Provide anesthesia for occasional healthy pediatric patients for outpatient procedures.
- Collaborate with Emergency Medicine services provided by Vituity partners.
