About The Position

Sanford Health, an integrated multi-specialty health system is seeking a fellowship trained breast surgeon for a full-time position. In addition to a fulltime practice there are opportunities for teaching, research, and leadership in a robust, multidisciplinary breast program. The Breast Surgeon provides specialized surgical care to patients with benign and malignant breast diseases. This includes evaluation, diagnosis, surgical management, and ongoing follow-up for patients with breast cancer and other breast conditions. The physician works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team—including medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, genetics, and supportive care—to deliver high-quality, patient-centered, and evidence-based care.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree.
Successful completion of an accredited residency in general surgery or obstetrics & gynecology.
Fellowship training in breast surgical oncology or significant clinical experience in breast surgery.
Current medical license in each state of practice.
State Controlled Substance License (if required by State)
Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice.
Board Certified in General Surgery by the American Board of General Surgery; or Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology or equivalent (American Osteopathic Board, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada).
