Physician/Attending - Urgent Care (Full Time)
About The Position
Nicklaus Children’s Health System and Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS) are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible pediatrician with Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience for a full-time Urgent Care opportunity in South Florida. This role is based in a state-of-the-art Urgent Care Center with on-site X-ray and laboratory services. The center operates 7 days a week from 11 am to 11 pm, with 1,728 annual clinical hours. There is no primary care on site, and the environment is fast-paced. The position is eligible for a faculty appointment at FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine due to the academic affiliation with Florida International University.
Requirements
- BC/BE Pediatrician
- Pediatric Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience

Responsibilities
- Pediatric suturing
- Wound management
- Pediatric trauma and transport
- Emergency treatment of asthma, croup, respiratory distress, possible sepsis, dehydration, anaphylaxis
- Diagnosis and treatment of febrile illness
- Diagnosis and treatment of acute surgical abdomen
- Diagnosis, splinting, and transport for orthopedic cases
- BLS, PALS, and EMS activation and transport knowledge
