About The Position

Nicklaus Children’s Health System and Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS) are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible (BC/BE) fellowship-trained neonatologist with a minimum of three years of experience (preferred) for a 19-bed Level II NICU located in Naples, Florida. This role is part of a comprehensive perinatal and neonatal program that is transitioning to a Level III NICU to better serve the Naples community. The position offers a unique opportunity to build and expand the NICU. The ideal candidate will have a passion for advocacy and improving care for children. Responsibilities include attending deliveries, providing prenatal consultations, resuscitating and stabilizing newborns, and providing leadership and supervision in the NICU. Candidates must be proficient in newborn resuscitation, including neonatal intubation, umbilical line placement, peripheral cannulation, and lumbar punctures. The unit is staffed by advanced practice providers, and neonatologists provide daytime rounding and on-call coverage from home. The position includes an appointment to the Faculty of FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.

Requirements

Board-certified or board-eligible (BC/BE) fellowship-trained neonatologist
Minimum of three years of experience (preferred)
Proficient in newborn resuscitation, including neonatal intubation, umbilical line placement and peripheral cannulation, lumbar punctures, etc.
Passion for advocacy and improving care for all children
