About The Position
Nicklaus Children's Hospital and Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists are seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Emergency Medicine Specialist for the Mastroianni Family Pediatric Emergency Department at Jupiter Medical Center. This facility is a 6,300-square-foot pediatric wing designed to be a family-focused, child-friendly environment, offering state-of-the-art equipment and specialized pediatric care. The role involves providing 24/7 in-house coverage, managing pediatric admissions, consulting on specialty patients, and covering deliveries and nursery patients during night shifts with neonatologist backup. The position offers opportunities for involvement in quality improvement, academic endeavors, and research.
Requirements
- BC/BE in pediatric emergency medicine OR BC in general pediatrics with three years of Pediatric ER experience.
- Passion for advocacy and improving care for all children.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 in-house coverage in the Pediatric Emergency Department.
- Manage inpatient pediatric admissions.
- Consult on specialty patients.
- Cover deliveries and nursery patients on night shifts.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in academic endeavors and research opportunities.
