About The Position
Nicklaus Children's Hospital, a 325-bed freestanding children's hospital and ACS-verified Level 1 pediatric trauma center in Miami, Florida, and Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists are seeking an exceptional candidate to join one of the busiest emergency departments in the nation. The Emergency Department is a critical entry point for high acuity pediatric care in southern Florida, focusing on recruiting and retaining top pediatric emergency medicine physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs), as well as training the next generation of pediatric emergency medicine fellows, residents, and medical students through an affiliation with Florida International University (FIU). The staff is dedicated to maximizing the patient experience through continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities
- Provide care in one of the most visited emergency departments in the U.S.
- Work in a Level 1 ACS-verified pediatric trauma center with a 70-bed Emergency Department.
- Participate in a community-based Emergency Department Program.
- Cover shifts that vary from 7-10 hours.
- Provide coverage ranging from 3-8 physicians, depending on the time of day.
- Train pediatric emergency medicine fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Engage in continuous process improvements to maximize the patient experience.
