About The Position

Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio (GCSA), powered by GI Alliance (GIA), is seeking a dynamic Physician Assistant to join their practice. GCSA is supported by the nation's leading patient-focused, excellence-driven gastroenterology network that is physician-led. This partnership empowers GCSA to deliver superior, individualized patient care by leveraging GI Alliance’s robust, world-class business and organizational support, ensuring clinicians can focus on providing top-notch care in a successful and dynamic private practice setting. This is a full-time, outpatient-only position dedicated to one physician, seeing an average of 10-14 patients per day. The role involves completing patient histories and physicals, determining tentative diagnoses, ordering appropriate laboratory tests, and counseling patients and families on health and disease. The position also requires participation in continuing education and training to maintain credentialing.

Requirements

State Licensed Physician Assistant
Experience working in a Physician Assistant capacity
Gastrointestinal experience

Responsibilities

Provide scheduled patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician in an outpatient clinic setting
Complete patient histories and physicals
Determine tentative diagnosis and order appropriate laboratory tests
Counsel patient and family on health and disease
Participate in all continuing education, training, and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing purposes at assigned medical facilities
Perform other duties as assigned
