About The Position

Under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP), we provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for various branches of the U.S. military including the U.S. Army Reserve, Army National Guard, U.S. Navy Reserve, U.S. Marine Forces Reserve, U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, Air National Guard, and U.S. Air Force Reserve. This role involves supporting Physical Health Assessments of military personnel, reviewing health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires. You will interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns, identify any immediate concerns including Behavioral Health, and document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using a proprietary system. Requirements

  • Active PA license in the state
  • CPR/BLS Certification
  • Adaptable to fast paced environments, with large volumes of service members seen daily
  • Able to work extended hours
  • Able to work in various locations, including remote military installations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills

Nice To Haves

  • Supervising Physician may required depending on the state requirement
  • Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health
  • Experience with mobile medical services
  • Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology
  • Able to travel, with weekend availability

Responsibilities

  • Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
  • Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
  • Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
  • Identify any concerns that need to be addressed immediately, inclusive of Behavioral Health.
  • Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using a proprietary system.
