About The Position

Just Orthopedics is seeking a motivated and skilled Orthopedic Physician Assistant to join their growing team in a busy and fast-growing orthopedic urgent care setting. This full-time role offers a consistent clinical schedule, moving away from early mornings and late nights in the operating room, providing a better work-life balance. The position focuses on providing exceptional care to patients with orthopedic injuries, primarily through same-day appointments. The company emphasizes a fun, supportive team environment where kindness and compassion for patients come first. Just Orthopedics handles administrative tasks such as scheduling, referrals, authorizations, credentialing, contracting, and malpractice insurance, allowing providers to focus on patient care. Training will be conducted at their Moore location, with the primary clinic work at the Hefner location in NW OKC.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Active OK license
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Orthopedic experience is preferred
  • Bilingual is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose and care for orthopedic injuries.
  • Apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, braces, and orthopedic immobilization devices.
  • Diagnose and treat orthopedic conditions.
  • Perform procedures such as fracture care, joint injections, reductions, and wound care.
  • Educate patients on cast care, brace usage, wound care, and post-procedure instructions.
  • Document treatments, procedures, and patient interactions accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and sterilize orthopedic instruments and equipment.
  • Monitor patients for signs of complications such as swelling, circulation issues, or infection.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic safety policies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform and interpret imaging studies (x-rays, MRI, etc.) as indicated.
