About The Position

TelepsychHealth is a physician-owned, independent organization offering evidence-based psychiatric and psychological services across many states virtually. We strive for the highest standards of care, integrating evidence-based clinical approaches with practical experiences in an empathic, trusting, and collaborative environment. Our mission is to set a new standard in providing evidence-based, multidisciplinary, integrated care. We provide all psychotherapy and medication management at one convenient location. Psychiatrists will work closely with therapists in delivering care. We are looking for committed individuals dedicated to TelepsychHealth's mission. We at TelepsychHealth are looking for a personable, energetic, motivated psychiatrist PA who is interested in coming on board to a private practice with a team to provide services to individuals who has experience in addiction medicine/psychiatry, ideally. We are a GENERAL, ADULT psychiatric practice but given our providers' backgrounds in addiction psychiatry, and SUD facility relationships, we would prefer an individual comfortable with treating addiction disorders as well as general psych.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be board certified or eligible.
  • Active medical licensed to practice medicine, valid NPI and DEA certificate, in good standing and no prior disciplinary action.
  • Willing to consent to a background check.
  • Maintain and update pertinent clinical records and write progress notes in a timely manner
  • Candidates will need a NPI and an attested CAQH profile.
  • Must not be currently under contract, or have any noncompete with your current employer.

  • Must be licensed in one (preferably 3) of our 10 service states: CA, AZ, TX, IL, MI, MN, GA, NY, CT, and FL

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address mental health needs of adults and their families
  • Provide psychotherapy and psychiatric treatment to a diverse population of individuals
  • Participate in effective case collaboration and monthly peer supervision
  • Carry out medication management and psychotherapy services in accordance to state and national regulations, maintain the schedule of all active clients, complete timely appointment notes that comply with insurance contracts, and operate technology (such as computer, software, EHR).
  • Non-clinical work may be required such as writing blog articles on psychiatric topics for our website or networking with other therapist offices for possible collaboration opportunities.

  • Ability to practice psychiatry autonomously, such as determining frequency and duration of patients’ appointments; taking on therapy cases; and writing progress notes for good clinical practices.
  • Full administrative support for all administrative matters such as scheduling, pharmacies requests, drafting letters, prior authorizations, responding to patients’ messages regarding administrative concerns, etc.
  • Regular supervision for the first year with Bruce Bassi, M.D.
  • Weekly clinical staff meetings, case conferences, and journal club

  • Ninety six (96) hours of paid time off (PTO) accrued per year, which may be used for sick leave or personal time off. PTO will accrue and carry over up to a maximum of 16 hours per year.
