We’re seeking a part-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing virtual care team. The PA will provide direct, evidence-based GI care via telehealth in collaboration with supervising physicians, registered dietitians, and health coaches. You’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, whole-person digestive health care that improves outcomes for our members. Why is this a great opportunity for a Physician Assistant? Requirements
- Current, unrestricted PA-C license in the United States, with willingness to obtain additional state licenses (Cylinder will cover costs as needed)
- Experience managing patients with chronic conditions or in a GI specialty (e.g., IBS, IBD)
- Ability to practice independently within scope, while collaborating effectively with supervising physician and care team
- Compassionate, patient-centered clinician with strong communication skills
- Comfortable practicing in a fully virtual environment
- Collaborative by nature and energized by working in multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptable and excited to be part of an early-stage company shaping the future of care
Nice To Haves
- Prior telehealth experience
- Multistate licensure
- Experience with motivational interviewing or patient-centered counseling approaches
- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish strongly preferred, other languages a plus)
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual patient assessments (history, symptoms, guided physical exam where appropriate)
- Diagnose and manage GI-related conditions in alignment with clinical protocols
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests within scope of practice
- Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and care team
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases to supervising physician as needed
- Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic health record
- Participate in case reviews, chart audits, and team meetings
