About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing team in Cameron, NC. The PA will provide patient-focused care in an urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine setting. This role is suitable for PAs early in their careers, including new graduates, and offers comprehensive training and ongoing support. The position emphasizes utilizing the full scope of practice to treat patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics, in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The PA will act as a leader for their small team, supported by treatment protocols and medical assistants, with opportunities to mentor medical assistants. The role also supports rural communities by providing accessible care and assisting with applications for tuition reimbursement or student loan grants. This is presented as a two-year commitment with long-term career growth potential.

Requirements

Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
MSN, or higher education required.
DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers cost).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
Perform minor procedures such as toenail removal and foreign object removal.
Suture and splint.
Conduct general orthopedic evaluations/management.
Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
Handle general dermatology and general eye problems.
Perform general EKG interpretations.
Utilize emergency management skills.
Provide general GYN expertise.
Treat children of all ages.
Provide occupational medicine services.
Conduct telemedicine appointments.
