About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team in Callaway, FL. The PA will provide patient-focused care in an urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine setting. The role involves leading a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and is open to new graduates. The position offers comprehensive support, including orientation, training shifts, a CME allowance, a free UpToDate subscription, and an on-call provider for clinical decision-making support. PAs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages, from infants to geriatric individuals. The role emphasizes leadership, with PAs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic and serving as professional role models for medical assistants. The position also supports rural communities with limited access to care, with potential eligibility for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. This role is described as a significant career advancement opportunity, with a two-year commitment expected from the provider.

Requirements

  • Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification).

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
  • Handle General Dermatology issues.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Provide General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct Telemedicine appointments.
