About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing team in Dothan, AL. The PA will provide patient-focused care in urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine settings. The role involves leading a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This opportunity is suitable for PAs early in their careers, including new graduates. The company offers comprehensive training, including an on-site HQ orientation, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course, and an NP on-call for clinical support. PAs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps maintain sharp skills and marketability. The role emphasizes leadership, with PAs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and medical assistants. The position also supports rural communities by providing accessible care and assisting with applications for state-funded tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. Requirements

• Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
• MSN, or higher education required.
• DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers cost).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
• Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
• Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
• Suture.
• Splint.
• Conduct general orthopedic evaluations/management.
• Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
• Handle general dermatology issues.
• Address general eye problems.
• Perform general EKG interpretations.
• Utilize emergency management skills.
• Demonstrate general GYN expertise.
• Treat children of all ages.
• Provide occupational medicine services.
• Conduct telemedicine consultations.
