About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is hiring PRN Physician Assistants to work across multiple clinics in the Oxford, North Carolina region. The role is suited to providers who enjoy variety, a high-volume environment, and working with different teams and clinics. New graduates are encouraged to apply; applicants who have not yet taken their boards may also apply, but must obtain Physician Assistant certification before their start date. The position provides care across urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine, treating patients of all ages. Shifts are determined approximately two months in advance. MainStreet clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. At select locations, KidsStreet clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Hours may change based on company needs, training, and float coverage.

Requirements

Physician Assistant certification is required before the start date.
Master’s degree or higher is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

EMR experience.
Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

Provide urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine services.
Perform minor procedures, including toenail and foreign body removals.
Perform suturing and splinting.
Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
Review X-rays, which receive Radiologist over-read.
Interpret EKGs.
Treat general dermatology concerns, eye complaints, and gynecological conditions.
Treat patients of all ages.
Use emergency management skills in a fast-paced setting.
Work across multiple clinics and with different teams as needed.
