About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) in Eufaula, AL, to provide patient-focused urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. The role involves leading a small team in a high-volume and fast-paced urgent care environment. This opportunity is suitable for PAs early in their career, including new graduates, offering comprehensive on-site orientation, training shifts, and ongoing support such as a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course and an NP on-call for clinical decision-making. The position emphasizes utilizing the full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages, and serving as a medical provider and professional role model for medical assistants. MainStreet clinics serve rural communities, are open 362 days a year, and qualify for state-funded tuition or student loan reimbursement grants, with company support for the application process. The company views this as a two-year investment for career growth.

Requirements

  • Physician Assistant Board Certification required
  • MSN, or higher education required
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost of certification)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice
  • Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
  • Minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
  • Suturing
  • Splinting
  • General Orthopedic evaluations/management
  • Review of x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too)
  • General Dermatology
  • General eye problems
  • General EKG interpretations
  • Emergency management skills
  • General GYN expertise
  • Treating children of all ages
  • Occupational medicine
  • Telemedicine
