About The Position

Froedtert South Medical Group is hiring a Physician Assistant for orthopedic surgery, with a focus on lower extremities and complex hip and knee replacement and revision surgery. The practice also includes general orthopedics. Assignments include inpatient rounds, outpatient visits, and serving as a surgical first assistant. Under physician supervision, the Physician Assistant directs patient care in hospital and clinic settings, manages treatment plans, reviews and evaluates test results, completes medical documentation, and conducts patient follow-up calls. The position has varied hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends, and requires a minimum of 80 scheduled office or rounding hours in any two-week period.

Requirements

Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
Successful completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities
