About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking PRN Physician Assistants to work across multiple clinics in the Erwin, North Carolina region. The role is suited to providers who enjoy variety, a high-volume environment, and working with different teams and clinics. New graduates are encouraged to apply, including candidates who have not yet taken their boards; however, Physician Assistant certification is required before the start date.

Providers deliver urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine services to patients of all ages. The work includes minor procedures, general orthopedic care, X-ray review with Radiologist over-read, EKG interpretation, and care for dermatologic, eye, and gynecological complaints. Shifts are determined approximately two months in advance. Clinic hours may change based on company needs, training, and float coverage.

Requirements

• Physician Assistant certification is required prior to the start date.
• A master’s degree or higher is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• EMR experience.
• Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine services.
• Perform minor procedures, including toenail and foreign body removals.
• Perform suturing and splinting.
• Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
• Review X-rays, with Radiologist over-read.
• Interpret EKGs.
• Provide care for general dermatology concerns, eye complaints, and gynecological care.
• Treat patients of all ages.
• Use emergency management skills in a fast-paced setting.
