About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking PRN Physician Assistants to work across multiple clinics in the Locust, North Carolina region. The role is intended for providers seeking supplemental income or variety across clinical settings, and involves working with different teams and clinics in a high-volume environment. New graduates are encouraged to apply; applicants who have not yet taken their boards may also apply, but PA certification is required before the start date.

Providers deliver urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine services to patients of all ages. Clinical work includes minor procedures, orthopedic evaluations and management, diagnostic interpretation, and emergency management. Shifts are determined approximately two months in advance. MainStreet Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. At select locations, KidsStreet Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Hours may change based on company needs, training, float coverage, and other factors.

Requirements

• Physician Assistant certification is required prior to the start date.
• A master’s degree or higher is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply; applicants who have not yet taken boards may also apply.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine.
• Perform minor procedures, including toenail removals and foreign body removals.
• Perform suturing and splinting.
• Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and provide management.
• Review X-rays, which receive a Radiologist over-read.
• Interpret EKGs.
• Provide care for general dermatology concerns, eye complaints, and gynecological needs.
• Treat patients of all ages.
• Use emergency management skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Work across multiple clinics and with different teams as needed.
