About The Position

This position will float between the family medicine sites of Carolina Health Centers, Inc. in the following counties in South Carolina: Abbeville, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Saluda. As a key member of our Carolina Health Centers, Inc. team, the Physician Assistant (PA) will play a vital role in establishing and overseeing a comprehensive, community-based primary care program. The primary objective of this role is to enhance access to high-quality primary care services, focusing on family-centered care. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for designing and implementing an integrated delivery model that prioritizes prevention, health maintenance, health education, and evidence-based chronic disease management. By collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, the Physician Assistant will contribute to improving health outcomes and promoting wellness within the community. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to delivering patient-centered care and building strong relationships with patients and their families. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with colleagues and engaging with diverse patient populations. The Physician Assistant should be well-versed in current best practices in primary care, preventive medicine, and chronic disease management. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • 2 years experience
  • Active South Carolina medical license
  • Certified or eligible for certification in area of specialty
  • Demonstrated clinical skill
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and consensus building skills
  • Ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to coordinate, analyzes, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner
  • Talk and hear in order to communicate with others
  • Sit and use hands and fingers to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard
  • Occasionally stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, and to stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Close vision with moderate exposure to a computer screen
