About The Position

An established Article 28 healthcare facility in the Bronx, NY, is seeking a patient-focused Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide care to patients of all ages. The role focuses on family medicine, preventive care, and sports medicine in a community-based clinical setting. The provider will work with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, coordinated care and build long-term relationships with patients. The position is full-time, onsite, and starts at $130,000. Typical hours are 7 days a week, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; hours vary.

Requirements

• Current and active New York State license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Board certification and applicable credentials required for the position.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, professional, and high-quality patient care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening test.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in family medicine, primary care, or sports medicine is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations, take medical histories, and perform physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Provide routine primary care, preventive health services, and follow-up care.
• Evaluate and treat common sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions within the provider's scope of practice.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests and coordinate referrals when needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality and continuity of care.
