About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team in Millbrook, Alabama. The PA will provide patient-focused care in an urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine setting. The role involves leading a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This opportunity is suitable for PAs early in their careers, including new graduates. The company offers comprehensive training, including an on-site HQ orientation, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course, and an NP on-call for clinical support. PAs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and marketability high. The role emphasizes leadership, with PAs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and medical assistants. The position also supports rural communities by providing access to care and may qualify for tuition reimbursement grants or student loan reimbursement grants. This role is described as a "rocket ship" for career growth, with a two-year commitment expected from the PA.

Requirements

  • Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost).

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
  • Handle General Dermatology issues.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Demonstrate General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct Telemedicine consultations.
