About The Position

As a Physician Assistant at Prosano Health, you will be a key contributor to our first-class clinical team in delivering direct patient care. You will deliver on our commitment of excellence to our patients and help us grow through participation in continuous improvement and innovative population health activities. This position has an emphasis on customer/patient care excellence, privacy, compliance, and serving in a dynamic health setting. The direct patient care responsibilities include: Evaluating and treating patients in accordance with standards of care. Following standards of medical care and quality for patients, and monitoring care using available data and chart reviews Acting as an active participant and key source of medical expertise with the care team through daily huddles Setting a tone of cooperation in practice by displaying a professional and approachable demeanor. Completing all medical record documentation in a timely manner working with a quality- based coder to optimize coding specificity Following policy and protocol defined by Clinical Leadership and BCBSAZ. Meeting with other departments to discuss quality of care, outcome data, policy, procedure, and records issues Participating in potential growth opportunities for new or existing services Assuring personal compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies Building relationships with other healthcare providers, social/community organizations, and marketing partners Performing all other duties as assigned Working hours may include extended hours This position requires 100% on-site work at the care center location and may also involve movement between clinics as needed

Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of Arizona
  • Successfully completed an accredited Physician Assistant program and have an active Board Certification.
  • Minimum of four years of applicable experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated a high level of skill with interpersonal relationships and communications with colleagues/patients
  • Fully engaged in the concept of “Integrated team-based care” model
  • A willingness and ability to learn/adapt to practice in a value-based care setting.
  • Superior patient/customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • BLS certification
  • Active AZ fingerprint clearance card
  • Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license
