Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Total Joint Service - Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine
About The Position
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University of Washington is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join their total joint replacement service. This role involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The position is on an annual appointment with a 12-month service period, offering the equivalent of one month for paid time off. Requirements
- Current and valid Washington State Physician Assistant License.
- Graduate Degree from an accredited PA program.
- Nationally certified PA-C with DEA.
- Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment.
- Ability to articulate how past experiences and/or future plans in research, teaching, mentoring, patient care, and/or service promote a sense of belonging and foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in orthopaedic care is preferred, but motivated and talented individuals can be trained.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team, which may include orthopaedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, primary care and rehabilitation medicine physicians, occupational therapists, and orthopaedic residents and fellows.
