About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing team in Havelock, NC. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care in an urgent care setting, with services also including primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This opportunity is suitable for PAs early in their careers, including new graduates. The company offers comprehensive support, including an on-site hosted HQ orientation and training, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course, and an NP on-call for clinical decision-making support. PAs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and enhances marketability. The role emphasizes leadership, with PAs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and a team of medical assistants. The position also supports rural communities by providing access to care and may qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. Requirements

  • Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
  • Handle General Dermatology issues.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Provide General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct Telemedicine appointments.
