Physician Assistant - Part Time Wound Care
About The Position
The Physician Assistant will provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician. This role involves obtaining patient history, performing assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic procedures, and providing documented treatment and management of health conditions. The Physician Assistant will also counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers on preventative health, treatment options, and community resources, as well as perform preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and care. This is a part-time position within the Wound Care Clinic, requiring Sharp Instrument Certification.
Requirements
- Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Sharp Instrument Certification
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree preferred.
- 1 year of experience preferred.
