About The Position

FirstCare Onsite, a Carisk Partners company, is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to provide on-site medical care in a professional workplace setting, including at a construction site. The role is available in a full-time, part-time, or per diem capacity. Patient volume is typically about 1–2 encounters per day, offering a lower-volume, lower-stress setting while continuing hands-on urgent care and orthopedic practice. Low volume does not reduce expectations for clinical care, professionalism, reliability, or documentation. The Physician Assistant should be able to work independently, manage common urgent care and musculoskeletal conditions, and provide excellent patient care.

Requirements

• Current New York State Physician Assistant license.
• Comfort performing basic urgent care procedures independently.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Comfort using computers and modern technology.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating appropriately with supervising physicians and the clinical team.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of Physician Assistant experience.
• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, occupational medicine, or orthopedics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and similar applications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat acute injuries and orthopedic complaints.
• Perform simple and intermediate laceration repairs, including nailbed injuries.
• Evaluate and remove superficial ocular foreign bodies.
• Evaluate and manage wounds.
• Perform initial evaluation and management of sprains, strains, fractures, and other musculoskeletal injuries.
• Perform splinting and other basic orthopedic procedures.
• Order and review diagnostic imaging, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs.
• Coordinate appropriate specialist referrals and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Communicate professionally with patients, supervising physicians, and members of the First Care team.
