About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team in Tarboro, NC. The PA will provide patient-focused care in an urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine setting. This role is suitable for PAs early in their career, including new graduates. The position offers comprehensive training, ongoing support from experienced providers, and the opportunity to utilize the full scope of practice. The PA will lead a small team, manage a high volume of patients, and serve rural communities with limited access to care. The company is open 362 days a year to meet community needs. This role is a two-year commitment with potential for long-term career growth and returns.

Requirements

Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
MSN, or higher education required.
DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (cost covered by employer).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
Suture.
Splint.
Perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
Handle General Dermatology issues.
Address General eye problems.
Perform General EKG interpretations.
Utilize Emergency management skills.
Provide General GYN expertise.
Treat children of all ages.
Provide Occupational medicine services.
Conduct Telemedicine appointments.
