About The Position

KidsStreet Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing team. The PA will provide patient-focused care to help patients feel better FAST, offering services in urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment. This opportunity is suitable for PAs early in their careers, including new graduates. The company provides comprehensive support, including HQ orientation, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent care course, and an on-call provider for clinical decision-making support. The role allows for the utilization of the full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from babies to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and marketability high. The PA will act as the leader of their team, with treatment protocols available to guide decision-making. The role also involves supporting rural communities that have limited access to care, with clinics open 362 days a year. Many clinics qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants, and the company assists with the application process. This position is described as a two-year commitment with significant returns for career growth and community impact.

Requirements

  • Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Are you DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification)?
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Conduct general orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
  • Handle general dermatology issues.
  • Address general eye problems.
  • Perform general EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize emergency management skills.
  • Demonstrate general GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct telemedicine appointments.
