About The Position

Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is seeking a certified Physician Assistant to assist in the care and management of otolaryngology patients specific to neurotology and otology. This practice is part of a larger Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery service. The role involves seeing patients in an outpatient setting focusing on neurological disorders of the ear, the facial nerve, and the lateral skull base. Responsibilities include patient screening for surgical candidacy and treatment plan and medication management of patients with complex non-surgical conditions. The position offers dedicated clinical support staff and equitable practice call for general ENT. Requirements

  • Current NCCPA Certification.
  • Active or eligible for licensure by the State of Florida.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Require bachelor's degree from accredited physician assistant training program.
  • Require successful completion of Annual Orthopedic Education Requirements upon hire and then annually as outlined in the Orthopedic Program(s) Education Plan.
  • Require current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Nice To Haves

  • ENT Experience preferred.
  • Prefer ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Prefer demonstrated clinical competency skills.
  • Prefer demonstrated knowledge of pharmacology as it relates to health care practice and current prescription writing skills/DEA licensing.
  • Prefer demonstrated skills in documentation in medical records to substantiate accurate billing.
