About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team in Liberty, NC. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care in an urgent care setting, with services also including primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This opportunity is open to new graduates and offers comprehensive training and ongoing support, including a pediatric urgent care course and access to an on-call provider for clinical decision-making. PAs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and enhances marketability. The role emphasizes leadership, with PAs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and medical assistants. The position also supports rural communities by providing essential healthcare services and assisting with applications for tuition reimbursement or student loan grants. Requirements

  • Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification).

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
  • Handle General Dermatology issues.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Demonstrate General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct Telemedicine consultations.
