About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing team. The PA will provide patient-focused care in urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine settings. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role is suitable for PAs early in their careers, including new graduates. The company offers comprehensive training, including HQ orientation, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent care course, and on-call support for clinical decision-making. PAs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics. The role emphasizes leadership, with PAs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic and serving as professional role models for medical assistants. The position also supports rural communities by providing access to care in underserved areas, with clinics open 362 days a year. Many clinics qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants, and the company assists with the application process. Requirements

  • Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost of the certification).

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
  • Handle General Dermatology issues.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Demonstrate General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct Telemedicine consultations.
