About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is hiring a floating Physician Assistant to work across multiple clinics in the East North Carolina region, including Wilmington, Havelock, Swansboro, and Kinston. The PA provides patient-focused care in a high-volume, fast-paced setting. Services include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The role requires flexibility to work with teams at different clinics and provide leadership in the urgent care environment. The schedule is determined two months in advance. MainStreet Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. KidsStreet Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Work hours may change based on company needs, training, and floater assignments.

Requirements

Physician Assistant board certification is required.
An MSN or higher education is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and the Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Perform minor procedures, including toenail and foreign-object removal.
Suture wounds and apply splints.
Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
Review x-rays for subsequent over-reading by a radiologist.
Evaluate and treat general dermatology and eye problems.
Interpret general EKGs.
Provide emergency management.
Provide general gynecological care.
Treat children of all ages.
Provide occupational medicine services.
Provide telemedicine services.
Work flexibly with teams across multiple clinics and provide leadership in a high-volume urgent care setting.
