About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team in Swansboro, NC. The PA will provide patient-focused care in an urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine setting. The role involves leading a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This opportunity is open to new graduates and offers comprehensive training and ongoing support, including a pediatric urgent care course and on-call provider assistance. The position allows for the utilization of the full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages, which helps maintain and enhance clinical skills. The PA will act as the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and a team of medical assistants. The role also involves supporting rural communities that have limited access to care, with potential eligibility for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. Requirements

• Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
• MSN, or higher education required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
• DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers cost).

Responsibilities

• Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
• Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
• Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
• Suture.
• Splint.
• Perform general orthopedic evaluations/management.
• Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
• Handle general dermatology issues.
• Address general eye problems.
• Perform general EKG interpretations.
• Utilize emergency management skills.
• Provide general GYN expertise.
• Treat children of all ages.
• Provide occupational medicine services.
• Conduct telemedicine appointments.
