About The Position
WTCR is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide medical treatment to patients suffering from Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). As part of a medication-assisted treatment network, the Physician Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a WTCR physician, participating in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible moonlighting opportunities for a few hours per week.
Requirements
- Graduate of a physician assistant program from an accredited school.
- Licensed in good standing in Texas as a physician assistant.
- Satisfactory criminal history and registry clearances.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in medication assisted treatment for Opioid Use Disorder.
- Experience with methadone and buprenorphine treatment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in providing medical treatment to WTCR patients under the direct supervision of a WTCR physician.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Complete initial patient medical evaluations, including a medical history, with results documented in patient medical records at required intervals.
- Complete annual medical evaluations as required.
