About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is hiring a floating Physician Assistant to work across multiple clinics in the Raleigh region. The PA provides patient-focused care in a fast-paced, high-volume urgent care environment and is expected to work flexibly with teams at different clinics while providing leadership. Services include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The role involves treating patients of all ages and addressing a broad range of medical needs, including minor procedures, orthopedic concerns, dermatology, eye problems, emergency situations, and general gynecological care. Shifts are determined two months in advance. Clinic hours may vary by location and are subject to change based on company needs, training, and floater coverage. MainStreet clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. KidsStreet clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The employer conducts standard pre-employment background checks and drug screens and is an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

Physician Assistant board certification is required.
An MSN or higher education is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform minor procedures, including toenail removal and foreign object removal.
Suture wounds and apply splints.
Evaluate and manage general orthopedic conditions.
Review x-rays for subsequent over-reading by a radiologist.
Treat general dermatology and eye problems.
Interpret general EKGs.
Provide emergency management.
Provide general gynecological care.
Treat children of all ages.
Provide occupational medicine services.
Provide telemedicine services.
Work flexibly with teams across multiple clinics and provide leadership in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment.
