About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is hiring PRN Physician Assistants to work across multiple clinics in the Tarboro, North Carolina region. The role offers variety in a high-volume environment and requires flexibility to work with different teams and clinics. New graduates are encouraged to apply, including candidates who have not yet taken their boards, provided they meet the certification requirement before starting. Providers deliver urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine services to patients of all ages. Shifts are determined approximately two months in advance. MainStreet clinics are generally open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. KidsStreet clinics at select locations are generally open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Hours may change based on company needs, training, and float coverage.

Requirements

Physician Assistant certification is required before the start date.
A master’s degree or higher is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Flexibility to work with different teams and clinics.

Nice To Haves

EMR experience.
Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

Provide urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine services.
Perform minor procedures, including toenail removals and foreign body removals.
Perform suturing and splinting.
Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
Review X-rays, which receive a Radiologist over-read.
Interpret EKGs.
Provide general dermatology, eye complaint, and GYN care.
Treat patients of all ages.
Use emergency management skills in a fast-paced setting.
Work across multiple clinics and teams as needed.
