About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking PRN Physician Assistants to work across multiple clinics in the Goldsboro, North Carolina region. Providers deliver urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine services in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The role involves working with different teams and clinics; new graduates are encouraged to apply, including applicants who have not yet taken their boards. Physician Assistant certification is required before the start date.

Shifts are determined approximately two months in advance. MainStreet Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. At select locations, KidsStreet Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Hours may change based on company needs, training, and float coverage.

The position offers competitive hourly pay with bonus incentives, malpractice insurance, an annual CME allowance, an UpToDate subscription, mileage reimbursement, and paid orientation and training. Requirements

• Physician Assistant certification is required prior to the start date.
• A master’s degree or higher is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• EMR and Microsoft Office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine services.
• Perform minor procedures, including toenail removals and foreign body removals.
• Perform suturing and splinting.
• Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
• Review X-rays with Radiologist over-read.
• Interpret EKGs.
• Provide care for general dermatology concerns, eye complaints, and GYN needs.
• Treat patients of all ages.
• Use emergency management skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Work across multiple clinics and with different teams in the region.
