About The Position

Concord Orthopaedics is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our growing Sports Medicine team. As a physician-owned, independent orthopaedic practice, Concord Orthopaedics is committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered musculoskeletal care throughout New Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PA who enjoys a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment and wants to play an integral role in the care of active patients and athletes. The Physician Assistant will work closely with our orthopaedic surgeons to evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. This position offers a combination of office-based clinical care and operating room responsibilities, with opportunities to perform procedures, assist with surgeries, develop treatment plans, and guide patients through recovery and rehabilitation.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current NCCPA certification.
  • Active Physician Assistant state licensure.
  • BLS/ACLS certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, orthopaedic conditions, and treatment options.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and the broader healthcare team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in orthopaedics or a related specialty is highly preferred.
  • Experience with joint injections, casting, suturing, or similar procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients, obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order diagnostic imaging including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans.
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions, including fractures, arthritis, ligament injuries, and other injuries.
  • Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative care, including patient education, wound care, and monitoring recovery.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans in collaboration with the orthopaedic team.
  • Perform in-office procedures including joint injections, suturing, casting, and splinting.
  • Assist orthopaedic surgeons with surgical procedures in the operating room.
  • Prescribe medications and provide appropriate follow-up care.
  • Educate patients on treatment options, rehabilitation, exercise, injury prevention, and other strategies to support recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation and assist with procedure and surgical scheduling.
  • Participate in department meetings, training, continuing education, and other professional development activities.
