About The Position
The IMA Group is hiring a Physician Assistant to conduct independent medical evaluations for Veterans pursuing disability benefits tied to service-connected conditions. This role offers a focused, evaluation-based position where your clinical judgment is the job. You'll bring your diagnostic skills to a structured, assessment-only environment with no ongoing management, no treatment plans, and no after-hours pages. This position is ideal for those looking to supplement a full-time role, ease into part-time work, or add a steady side commitment to their schedule, as it offers a flexible 1-2 day/week schedule.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in Florida
- Graduate of an accredited PA program
- NCCPA certification in good standing
- Solid clinical background with strong diagnostic reasoning
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Occupational Health, Orthopedics, or PM&R is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed physical exams and gather medical histories
- Analyze medical records, imaging, and diagnostic results
- Apply VA disability evaluation standards to your findings
- Draft objective, well-supported reports linking conditions to military service
- Submit documentation through our digital case platform
