Serves as Physician Assistant in the area of psychiatric mental health working in both direct and indirect patient care activities. Direct care functions include providing physical and psychiatric assessments, therapeutic interventions, and case management services. Indirect care functions include assuming role as a consultant person and educator.

Requirements

  • Current Physician Assistant license to practice in the state.
  • Maintains national certification in the physician assistant specialty area.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality in regards to all information; skilled in flexibility, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills; crisis management skills; skills in analysis and evaluation; sound clinical judgment and decision-making; able to understand and apply applicable standards and regulations (e.g. The Joint Commission, CMS, DHEC, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Serves as Physician Assistant in the area of psychiatric mental health working in both direct and indirect patient care activities.
