About The Position

This position involves delivering high-quality primary care and patient assessments, supporting physicians with acute and long-term patient management, educating patients on treatments, prevention, and care plans, and providing continuity of care through documentation, follow-up, and triage. The role also contributes to a safe, compliant, and patient-centered clinic environment.

Requirements

  • Physician Assistant / PA-C
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and regulations
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments used in patient care
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions
  • Skill in applying and modifying principles and techniques of patient care
  • Skill in taking medical histories and interpreting findings
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to communicate clearly and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public
  • Successful completion of an approved Physician Assistant Program
  • Current State of Ohio Physician Assistant License
  • Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills

  • Experience providing primary care or clinical patient management preferred
  • Experience collaborating with physicians and clinical teams preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs complete physical exams, obtains medical histories, and records findings.
  • Orders, interprets, and integrates laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
  • Determines preliminary diagnoses and develops therapeutic plans.
  • Administers medications and injections in compliance with state law and clinic guidelines.
  • Sutures minor lacerations.
  • Instructs patients and families regarding medications and treatments.
  • Educates patients on health and illness prevention.
  • Recommends community resources to support patient and family needs.
  • Collaborates with physicians to manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
  • Maintains and reviews patient records, charts, and pertinent information.
  • Posts test and examination results.
  • Triages patient telephone calls and provides consultation.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all HIPAA and OSHA regulatory requirements.
