About The Position

Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA-C) to support a high-performing, multi-site surgical team across Brookwood and Princeton hospitals. This role will directly support three cardiothoracic surgeons and work alongside a team of seven to eight Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). This is a dynamic role offering exposure to the full continuum of cardiothoracic surgical care- including first assist, pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative management. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
PA-C certification required
Active or eligible for Alabama licensure
BLS and ACLS certification required

Nice To Haves

Cardiothoracic surgery experience preferred (new graduates with strong surgical rotations considered)

Responsibilities

First assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures
Perform pre-operative evaluations and post-operative rounding
Manage ICU and step-down patients in collaboration with surgeons
Participate in call rotation (nights and weekends required)
Coordinate care across multiple sites to ensure continuity and quality outcomes
