About The Position
Epic Pain Management is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join their San Antonio team. As part of a growing organization that includes pain management, urgent care, and wellness services, the PA-C will work alongside experienced physicians and clinical staff to develop individualized treatment plans and help patients improve function and quality of life. The role emphasizes practicing medicine without taking paperwork home, with dedicated clinical support, a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, and resources to focus on patient care.
Requirements
- Licensed Physician Assistant in Texas
- Current DEA license or ability to obtain
- Strong clinical judgment and patient-management skills
- Confidence working independently with physician collaboration
- Excellent communication and patient-engagement skills
- A collaborative, motivated approach to patient care
Nice To Haves
- Pain management, orthopedics, urgent care, or primary care experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive evaluations for acute conditions, injuries, and chronic pain
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
- Perform in-office procedures, including joint and trigger point injections, abscess incision and drainage, suturing, and splinting
- Interpret diagnostic tests and adjust care plans accordingly
- Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure high-quality, efficient care
- Stay current with best practices in urgent care and pain management
