About The Position

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to provide coverage at their Convenient Care Clinics. This role offers a dependable schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, dedicated administrative time, and all locations are within 1 hour of Pinehurst, NC. The position utilizes Epic EMR, with imaging and diagnostic testing available on-site. The PA will perform all urgent care procedures and work within a well-coordinated process with system EDs for transfer of acute care needs. There is a strong partnership between physicians and advanced practice providers, and the PA will be a member of the FirstHealth Physician Group, a team of over 450 hospital-employed providers.

Requirements

Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.
A minimum of 2 years of experience treating all ages in an urgent care/Emergency Medicine setting is required.
Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision making.
Clean background.
Unrestricted NC PA/NP license.
NC DEA.
AHA BLS certification.
DOT certification required.

Nice To Haves

3+ years of experience is highly desired.
