About The Position

KidsStreet Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing team in Gainesville, FL. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care to help patients feel better quickly. The clinic offers a range of services including urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care setting. This opportunity is open to PAs early in their careers, including new graduates. The company provides extensive support, including an on-site HQ orientation and training, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent care course, and an on-call provider for clinical decision-making support. This role allows PAs to utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from babies to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and enhances marketability. The position emphasizes leadership, with PAs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and medical assistants. A rewarding aspect of the role is the opportunity to mentor and inspire medical assistants. The clinics also serve rural communities with limited access to care, operating 362 days a year. Requirements

  • Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost).

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Perform general orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
  • Handle general dermatology issues.
  • Address general eye problems.
  • Perform general EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize emergency management skills.
  • Provide general GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct telemedicine appointments.
