About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is hiring a floating Physician Assistant to work across multiple clinics in the Raleigh, North Carolina region. The PA provides patient-focused care in a fast-paced, high-volume urgent care environment and may also support primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The role requires flexibility to work with teams at different clinics and provide leadership in the clinical setting. Shifts are determined two months in advance. MainStreet clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. KidsStreet clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Work hours may change based on company needs, training, floater assignments, and other factors.

Requirements

Physician Assistant board certification is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR).
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Provide patient-focused care in urgent care and related clinical services.
Perform minor procedures, including toenail removal and foreign object removal.
Suture wounds and apply splints.
Evaluate and manage general orthopedic conditions.
Review x-rays, which are also over-read by a radiologist.
Evaluate and treat general dermatology and eye problems.
Interpret general EKGs.
Provide emergency management.
Provide general gynecological care.
Treat children of all ages.
Provide occupational medicine services.
Provide telemedicine services.
Work with teams across multiple clinics and provide leadership in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment.
